Auberge Lakeview Inn : Secret Address of the Eastern Townships

In 1897, during the summer, there was croquet, tennis and romantic boat rides on the lake. But due to economic hard times in the country, the Lake View House Hotel went into decline. Then in 1986, Ronald Blair, a businessman with a passion for history and antiques, acquired the establishment and returned it to its former glory.
Something New!

Built in 1874 by Loyalists having fled the United States, it combines both the charm of a glorious past and the comfort of the modern age. Listed as an historic monument, Lakeview Inn has indeed preserved all of its patrimonial significance. It is a unique treasure to be rediscovered in the heart of a charming Victorian village of Knowlon.
It is for the beauty of the large, sumptuous homes that border the lake that one visits the Town of Brome Lake which includes not only the village of Knowlton but the villages of Foster, Fulford, Iron Hill, Bondville, East Hill and West Brome as well. Here you'll find large and expensive properties, veritable stone châteaux with rounded castle towers and columned homes in the style of the White House, such as the home of Laurent Beaudoin, President and General Manager of Bombardier.
As our world spins ever further into the dizzy realm of cybernation, the lure of yesteryear becomes stronger. The demands of high-tech existence meet with the need to experience excellence in the calm found in historic surroundings.

At Lakeview Inn, just one hour south-east of Montreal, it is highly recommended "to simply walk through the front door and go back in history 129 years. [...]
